Surviving
Sunday, December 11th, 2005Do you remember the very first time you had a broken heart?
The world fell apart, and we’re trapped inside a dark, silent whole with nowhere to go. Didn’t know what to do, didn’t know what to expect, didn’t know what would happen next, didn’t know if we will ever survive the catastrophic event.
But we all did. No matter how bad it was.
As we grow, we’re becoming familiar with the feeling. We learn to expect the unexpected. We know that it will be over and done with. Perhaps human emotions have the ability to adapt and endure just like those tiny bacteria that learn how to fight antibiotics.
To those who have a broken heart, don’t you worry. You’ve been there before, and you survived. You knew the angle, and you knew the exit route. Just go walk through that door; you knew where to find it.
Stand up little girl
A broken heart can’t be that bad
When it’s through, it’s through
Fate will twist the both of you
So come on baby come on over
Let me be the one to show you
(To Be With You- Mr. Big)
